The Pencil Grip Inc. began selling one item, The Pencil Grip, in 1992. Against long odds, we have blended the right combination of hard work, honesty, customer service and a little bit of luck to get to where we are today. For this we thank the thousands of stores and millions of customers who have purchased our products. Without you we would not exist and owe those who believe in our cutting edge, value added products a debt of gratitude.
Invented by Dr. Lois Provda, a prominent educational therapist, The Pencil Grip is the cornerstone for everything you see today. In fact the President of the company, Asher Provda and his brother Vice President Alexander Provda took over the reigns of the company from their father, Paul Provda in 1994. His vision and foresight are another tremendous factor in the success we enjoy.
In the past few years, The Pencil Grip, Inc. has expanded its offering to include the various products you see on our web site. This includes the acquisition of two companies, Band Buddies and Bend A Ruler and the formation of distribution agreements with some of the most respected companies in the business. The common themes that tie our products together are simple-they are designed to stimulate the mind, foster creativity and they are the best available.
