Q: Tell us a little about yourself! What is the inspiration behind your Instagram page?

I am a therapist turned stay at home mom, or as I like to call it, work at home mom. My husband was my first boyfriend in 6th grade, so I’ve known him for almost 30 years (we had many dramatic breakups before we ended up together for good in 2008). We live in the town I grew up in, with both of my parents & sisters also living in town.
Brady is almost 4 1/2 and Amelia is just now 18 months. We experienced a loss in April of 2020, which was also during the height of Covid and I also lost my grandfather days later. Brandon was thankfully furloughed at the time, but he soon had to return to work. I knew I needed to pull myself out of bed & be there for Brady, so the day Brandon went back, I set up a special activity for him. He was very into Toy Story at the time, specifically Forky, so we made our very own. He loved it. It made me feel good again. Forky still is on a shelf in his room and very special to us both. So we started doing more activities and I started posting them to my personal Instagram account so that family and friends could see what we were up to during quarantine.
People started commenting on how amazing they were and how I should share them with others, so in March of 2021 I started my mommassori123 public account. I missed helping others and wanted to try to reach other moms that needed inspiration or ideas for their children at home. I never expected the sense of community on Instagram nor that I would create the relationships I have cultivated with other play accounts and small businesses. I also never knew that I was this creative or that I had any artistic ability until I tried using products like yours. It has surprisingly turned into a creative outlet for me that I really enjoy.

Q: We have loved seeing your page grow, and all the amazing projects and activities you share, and we learn so much as you incorporate play based and sensory learning into your posts! What inspired you to want to be a Brand Ambassador?

I did not know what I was doing on here at all when I first started, nor am I very good with technology. I have been fortunate to connect with some very lovely and more capable people, who helped teach me the ways of social media. Part of that is connecting with companies. I would see them post things and mention certain brands and ask them about it. Then I started reaching out to companies that my son enjoyed and that I saw value in. I started building relationships with them and then over time, as I built content, companies started reaching out to me. I am honored that businesses have trusted me and what I create enough to have me represent them, especially smaller businesses. I like being part of a team and having resources inspire my play based activities. I hope that it helps other people do the same.

Q: What is your favorite product of ours that you have tried so far?  Can you tell us more about why you love this product, and if you have any tips or tricks when using it or favorite techniques? Is there anything in particular that has helped you blend creativity, play, and learning together with your children and any advice you can provide to others?

I would definitely say your Kwik Stix mess free paint sticks. One of the reasons being, there are no tips, tricks or techniques to using them. They just work with everything and anyone can use them. I love that they can be used in place of basic paints, but are mess free and dry so quickly. I love that you can use them on basically any surface and that they just wipe off with a paper towel or wet cloth, depending on the surface. I love that my child could use them independently at 2.5 years old. I love that they are an artistic tool for myself to create aspects of my setups for my children. My current, favorite way to use them is on our white board insert. I draw backgrounds to incorporate in my setups and it just adds that extra color and fun that lures him in and makes him want to engage. I also get joy from seeing what I’m capable of and proud of what I can do from just trying it out. So that’s my best advice. Just try it. If it isn’t quite what you were hoping for, it wipes away. If you make a mistake, wipe that part off and try it again. See what you can do. Also, your kid doesn’t really care and will love it regardless.

Q: We love that you incorporate amazing videos of your activities on your page! What is one of your favorite projects you have created using our products? There have been so many great posts you have made, and we want to know which stands out to you!

Thank you for saying my videos are amazing 🤣 it has taken me a lot of practice and help from friends. As I mentioned, I’ve been really into drawing with Kwik Stix on our whiteboard insert. I actually just posted a book inspired “Mooseltoe” that I was pretty proud of. I also liked my @wildkratts ocean setup I did over the summer using the Wonder Stix and my space setup using the Wonder Stix. My Sesame Street rainbow setup using the Kwik Stix on my light insert during pride month is another favorite ❤️. Brady loves using them to paint on @dollartree wood craft pieces and on our acrylic pieces that I can wipe off and he can do over and over again.

Q: What’s next for you? Do you have any exciting crafts or activities planned for the winter months ahead?!

I am planning on doing more drawings for Winter setups with our Kwik Stix paints and also have some fun Winter themed printables that our Wonder Stix and perfect for. He likes seek and finds and they’re great for circling answers. You’ll just have to follow along and stay tuned to see what I do next 😉.
