As the summer comes to a close, we are gearing up for the back to school season. Whether your excited for the new school year or anticipating what is coming, these back to school themed crafts will get you in the school spirit! Decorate your notebooks, add supplies to your list, and bring on the creativity!

Kwik Stix Poster

Materials Needed: Paper or cardboard, Kwik Stix, and tape

  1. Sketch out a drawing of Kwik Stix
  2. Paint in a variety of colors onto the paper
  3. Hang in your classroom to display where Kwik Stix will be kept

DIY Notebook

Materials Needed: Notebook, paper, scissors, Kwik Stix, glue, and googly eyes

  1. Start by cutting out a circle 
  2. Paint the circle red with Kwik Stix
  3. Cut out a small rectangle
  4. Paint the small rectangle brown
  5. Glue the small rectangle onto the circle to act as a stem
  6. Glue on the googly eyes to the apple
  7. Add a face
  8. Glue onto the front of your notebook

Cardboard Letters

Materials Needed: cardboard, scissors, Kwik Stix, and Wonder Stix
  1. Cut letters out of cardboard for each students first letter of their name
  2. Allow students to decorate their letters using Kwik Stix and Wonder Stix
  3. Hang up on your bulletin board to represent each student in your class this year

Decorated Notebooks

Materials Needed: composition notebooks, Kwik Stix, Magic Stix, brown paper, scissors, and glue

  1. Cut out a brown piece of paper that fits across the whole front and back cover of your notebook
  2. Glue on both the front cover and back cover
  3. Draw a box on the middle of the front cover with Magic Stix
  4. Decorate the notebook in Kwik Stix
  5. Bring along with you on your first day of school!

Crayon Letters

Materials Needed: cardboard, empty crayon box, Kwik Stix, and scissors

  1. Cut out crayon shapes with your cardboard
  2. Paint each crayon with Kwik Stix
  3. Write a letter on each one
  4. Fit the crayon pieces into the empty box to form your name

Apple Prints

 

Materials Needed: Kwik Stix, paper, and apples

  1. Cut each apple in half
  2. Paint with Kwik Stix in different colors
  3. Stamp onto the paper
  4. Overlap each one and have fun!

  1. Download printable coloring sheets
  2. Color with Magic Stix
  3. Create a school journal for back to school
  4. Add stickers to add some back to school spirit

Apple Plates

Materials Needed: paper plates, scissors, Kwik Stix, and glue

  1. Cut the sides of each paper plate
  2. Place the sides of the plate to the side
  3. Paint the main part of the plate with Kwik Stix to resemble apples
  4. Paint the sides of the plate with green Kwik Stix
  5. Glue onto the top of the apple to resemble a leaf

Window Apple

  1. Draw an apple outline onto wax paper
  2. Cut out along the outline
  3. Paint with Kwik Stix

  2. Cut out each piece you will need
