Every year on the last Monday of January, bubble wrap enthusiasts around the world come together to celebrate National Bubble Wrap Day. It's a day dedicated to the joy of popping those delightful little bubbles and reveling in the satisfying sound they make. But did you know that bubble wrap can be more than just a stress-reliever? It can also be a versatile crafting material that adds a touch of whimsy to your projects. So, grab your bubble wrap and let's get crafty!

 Bubble Wrap Fruit

Materials Needed: fruit paper cutout sheet, scissors, bubble wrap, and Kwik Stix

  1. Begin by cutting out fruit shapes from your paper
  2. Lay a large piece of bubble wrap on a table
  3. Paint the bubble wrap with Kwik Stix
  4. Stamp down the fruits onto the painted part of the bubble wrap
  5. Lift off of the bubble wrap
  6. Add different colors to different fruits

Corn Suncatchers

Materials Needed: bubble wrap, scissors, cardstock paper, Kwik Stix, yellow paint, glue, and googly eyes

  1. Cut bubble wrap into a skinny oval (similar to the shape of corn)
  2. Paint the bubble wrap with yellow paint
  3. Cut pieces of cardstock paper to look like corn husks
  4. Paint these pieces with Kwik Stix
  5. Glue the husks onto the bubble wrap
  6. Glue on two googly eyes
  7. Tape the suncatchers to the window

Rainbow Bubble Wrap

Materials Needed: Kwik Stix, paper, and bubble wrap

  1. Start by using Kwik Stix to draw a rainbow onto a piece of paper
  2. Be sure to include all colors of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple)
  3. Use a color of your choice and paint a piece of bubble wrap
  4. Stamp onto the paper including over the rainbow for a dotted background

Textured Leaves

Materials Needed: pencil, scissor, paper, bubble wrap, and Kwik Stix

  1. Draw the outline of a leaf onto a piece of paper
  2. Paint a piece of bubble wrap with Kwik Stix
  3. Flip over and press bubble wrap onto the paper
  4. Cut along the outline to cut out the leaf shape

Heart Shaped Bubble Wrap

Materials Needed: Kwik Stix, paper, heart bubble wrap, and black paint

  1. Use Kwik Stix to paint a background onto a piece of paper
  2. Use a variety of different colors
  3. Paint a piece of bubble wrap with black paint
  4. Press onto the painted background
  5. Peel off

Bubble Background

Materials Needed: construction paper, white paper, bubble wrap, Kwik Stix, and Christmas Tree cut out

  1. Glue a piece of white paper onto a sheet of colored construction paper
  2. Place an object or shape of your choice onto the middle of the page (here, a Christmas tree was used)
  3. Paint a piece of bubble wrap with Kwik Stix
  4. Press down bubble wrap onto the paper and peel off
  5. Repeat these steps with a variety of colors to form a colorful background
  6. Once finished with the bubble wrap, peel off the center object
